Client presentation: Daitsu

The air conditioning brand Daitsu, owned by the company Eurofred, stands out for its reliability, accessibility, and for offering solutions designed for comfort with minimal impact on your wallet and the planet. Its strong commitment to efficiency, functional design, and technical innovation has also extended to its automated catalogs of air conditioning, heating, and domestic hot water systems, a key tool for its commercial and technical network.

Eurofred is a multinational company specializing in thermal comfort through air conditioning, geothermal, and indoor air quality solutions from global brands such as Fujitsu and its brand Daitsu. It has offices in 4 countries (Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Chile), more than 100,000 square meters of facilities, and meets the needs of customers in more than 40 countries.

Efficiency is one of Eurofred’s values. For years, we have had the pleasure of contributing to that efficiency by working for their brands. Since the talented and positive Eurofred team commissioned us to optimize the production process of their Daitsu technical catalogs and price lists for air conditioners to improve data accuracy and incorporate new languages for their international expansion, we have enjoyed every second of it.

This is one of those stories where we truly feel that the boundaries between teams are blurred. Committing ourselves year after year to improving their automation, we feel like one more member of the Eurofred team, infected with their energy and optimism.

Nousmedis addressed this challenge by developing a custom technological solution, allowing efficient and scalable catalog automation, and also building a relationship of active listening, trust, transparency, and commitment that has given us very good moments and results.

The challenges: What problems needed to be solved?

Limited data management and manual processes:

  • Ensuring that the existing PIM system allowed for more flexible and faster integration of new data.
  • Abandoning manual catalog production. Even if progressively, technical tables, pictograms, images, and accessories had to stop being generated with rudimentary and manual tools and be produced in an optimized and effective way.
  • Alleviating the technical difficulty of accessing data from its internal Web Service.
  • Scaling the catalog to multiple languages for international expansion.

The solutions: How do we create automated air conditioning catalogs?

During five years of progressive collaboration, we gradually automated Daitsu’s editorial process in a modular way with a solution adapted to their rhythms, priorities, and internal capabilities. The Nousmedis team worked hand in hand with the Eurofred team to offer tools that really facilitated their day-to-day work:

  • 1. Integration through Web Services with Syncwall: We created a stable connection to their data system using Syncwall, our own integration tool, which allowed access to structured information in JSON with a single click.
  • 2. Customized ETL processes: We converted the downloaded information into formats compatible with EasyCatalog, including transformations and enrichment with additional data from Excel sheets.
  • 3. Progressive automation in phases:
    • Phase 1: Technical tables (customer’s priority #1).
    • Phase 2: Pictograms, icons, and visual elements.
    • Phase 3: Accessory tables and extended descriptive texts.
    • Phase 4: Image automation.
    • Phase 5: Multilingual: In addition to the original in Spanish, we added English, Italian, and Portuguese.
  • 4. Flexible templates and standardized design: We developed reusable and scalable design modules that allowed Daitsu to make adjustments without touching code or depending on technical interventions. We not only worked to obtain an automated catalog of air conditioners but also developed a fully scalable solution.

Results: A before and after for Daitsu

Thanks to this progressive and user-centered approach, Daitsu achieved:

  • Drastically reduce catalog production times: some of the most complex technical tables, which previously took weeks to generate, are now produced in a matter of days, and their updates, which previously took days, are now done in just hours.
  • Minimize human errors thanks to automated and structured processes.
  • Increase its ability to respond to new international markets by facilitating multilingual management.
  • Increase the autonomy of its graphic team, which can now generate new versions quickly and accurately.

This transformation demonstrates that with planning, accessible technology, and accompaniment, personalized sessions, and adequate support, even the most technical processes can become efficient, sustainable, and replicable.
